Small Batch Presents is a project created by Connor Carroll and myself. After living in Nashville for several years we noticed how connected the creative, maker, and music communities were and sought to showcase how these communities were influencing one another through a series of short documentaries. Within each video we visited the makers space, interviewing them about their process, connection to the Nashville music scene, and the importance of their community. We then invited the band to come into their space and perform a few songs.
When designing the logo for the series we needed a legible lockup that could double as the title credit, additionally I setup a mark that we could use to denote content without being obtrusive. In addition to creator, my roles included managing the production schedule, shot planning, interviewing, copywriting, art direction, designing promotional assets, and social media calendar.
In the end we produced 8 episodes and a ton of photos, video vignettes, and articles that were all hosted on site I designed. It’s also worth mentioning that each episode was produced free as charge for the makers and bands and was executed with a small crew who volunteered their time. Each episode also featured a different local photographer.
